Agia Anna on Naxos

Posted by

Agia Anna is an idyllic beach resort on Naxos in Greece, which, with its fine sand, crystal-clear water and relaxed atmosphere, is ideal for families and couples. The sunset, which can be enjoyed from the cozy tavernas right on the beach, is particularly impressive.

Agia Anna (translated: Saint Anna or Saint Anne) is one of the main tourist resorts on the island Naxos in the Cyclades, an island group in Greece. The resort has now more or less grown together with the town of Agios Prokopios, which is further north and also has a tourist focus. Many hotels, shops and tavernas line the long beach. It is a typical tourist resort. The clientele is mixed. Families, pensioners and younger people all vacation here. Many come from Germany or England.

If you are looking for the full tourist infrastructure, you should choose a hotel in Agios Prokopios or in the north of Agia Anna. Further south it becomes much quieter, even the tarred road along the sea eventually becomes a dirt road. This is where you will find the best beaches.
